Highlights

Dodge's full-size rear-drive van Sprinter is based on a van sold in Europe as a Mercedes-Benz and is intended for commercial use--though both cargo and passenger models are offered in the US. All have two front doors, a sliding side door on the passenger side, and swing-out rear doors.  The high-roof form adds nine inches of interior room via a taller roof.

The Sprinter is three or so inches narrower than the competition and at least nine inches higher. The van looks very modern and distinctive, and has drawn lots of attention.

The height of the van means that you have a commanding view of the road, and the large amounts of glass give an excellent view all around for driver and passenger. The rear seats are very comfortable.

In addition, all passenger seats have 3-point belts with the shoulder strap mounted to the seat (rather than the ceiling or wall as in other domestics).

When matched side by side with the competition, no one comes close to Sprinter's walk-through height.

Passenger models have room for up to 8 on rear bench seats.
